Cold Therapy is a product that consists of a fluid circulating pad that is placed on the patient
post-operatively and covers the surgical site. The cold therapy acts as an anti-inflammatory, pain reducer and
decreases swelling.
The cold therapy machine is typically used for a period of 3-10 days. Please keep in mind, depending on your insurance
coverage, the time period in which the equipment is supplied to you may vary. Please keep a clean t-shirt, paper barrier
or thin towel between your skin and the cold therapy pad at all times to avoid thermal burns.
